"...let us run with perseverance..."
There are a few verse in the bible that have really hit me hard and this is one of them: "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Hebrews 12: 1-2 I heard this verse read out in a song the night before my baptism when my mind was seriously thinking through what I was about to do and it brought me to tears. So I thought I would break it down and try and explain the best I can why it is such a powerful verse. To me this verse is a challenge, to drop everything and follow God, to make him the center of our life. Ill explain why. Notice that right from the outset this verse is already challenging us.
