GOD'S NOT DEAD!!!

In the beginning god created the heavens and the earth. There is no question in scientist mind that there was a beginning. But what they can’t answer is how it began. Or more importantly why? Why is there something rather than nothing? Is the universe merely a product of random chance? Or does it reflect the order in information that speaks of an intelligent mind behind it all.  Some have suggested that the universe could pop into existence out of nothing. But what they failed to tell you is that in quantum terms, nothing isn't really nothing. It includes the laws of physics. For example the notes that you hear from this keyboard tonight could not exist without it first existing. So either you believe in an eternal set of laws or an eternal law giver.  Then there is the question of life and how did it begin. Some scientists and philosophers say that evolution can explain it all. But unfortunately evolution is a theory that only tells you what happens once yo...

Hold my hand...

So. Here we are at the end of another week. Im sure this week has had its up's and its downs. Did you go to God with the problems cause you know... he was there holding your hand the whole way. Story Time Mother: Please hold my hand Boy: No mum... You hold my hand Mother: Whats the difference? Boy: If I hold your hand and something happens chances are that I may let go but if you hold my hand.. I know for sure that you will never let my hand go. Lets say that we are the boy and God is the mother. I know that you wouldn't refuse to hold Gods hand and he wouldn't refuse to hold yours.  If we hold onto Gods hand and times get tough there is a chance that we would let go and drift away. But if you have asked God to hold onto our hand he wont let go. Sure we might try and pull away from him but we wont escape.  When we accept God into our hearts we are asking him to hold our hand. If we drift from him after asking him into our heart he dosen't le...

It's just one of those days

Image
I think you all know what I'm talking about. One of those days when nothing goes your way, where you just want to give up, where you think "I have had enough". I'm sure that Moses had heaps of these days. He was denied by pharaoh to let his people go many times. But he never gave up. Read Exodus 7-8 for more info. Why was it that Moses kept fighting through? He had God on his side. He had a clear vision. He knew that he could fall back on God for help. He had God on his side With God on our side we cannot fail. Read Psalm 124: 1-5 We cannot be swept away by the things of this world with God as our anchor. He had a clear vision Moses was directed to free God's people from Egypt. He had this clear in his mind. It was his main focus. Like Moses we should have a clear vision. Hebrews 12:1 Let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us. A sprinter focus on the finish line. Have a look at our enemy before the race starts and once its finished. T...

Excuses

Lets set the scene. You have been asked by mum and dad to go and tidy your room. You really don't want to and make up some reason why you can't. "Sorry, i have homework to do, Ill do it after tea i swear". So you run off and play on the computer after lying to your parents. What have we just done. Not only have you made up an excuse but you have lied to your parents because that one show you like is on after tea and it takes you all the way to your bed time. What if you did this to God. He tells you to go and convert to this one person who you know is going to be a pain to talk to and you really don't want to do it and waste your energy because you think inside that that person will never be saved. How would God feel. You cant excuse yourself from your calling. What about when it comes to sin. Just like with God, we cant make up an excuse why we sinned. "oh it just popped out" "he pushed me to my limits". None of these excuses can make ex...
